Congratulations!
Water & Air Research, Inc. would like to congratulate the director of our Water Resources Group, James D. Hirsch, for his appointment to the position of Environmental Vice-Chair of the Florida Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association. Jamie was elected to the position by industry peers and will assume the role of Chair in 2011. He is an important member of the Water & Air staff and we appreciate all his efforts.

In 1969, modern American environmental policy was created when Congress passed the National Environmental Policy Act, declaring that "it is the continuing policy of the Federal Government...to create and maintain conditions under which man and nature can exist in productive harmony...."

Water & Air Research, Inc. was founded the next year as one of America's first multi-disciplinary environmental consulting firms. In the intervening decades, the staff of Water & Air has helped clients worldwide with projects that deal with vital environmental issues including water resources and water quality, environmental planning, hazardous waste, toxic materials, and management of resources. Our staff has a long and successful history of partnering with clients to make informed and responsible decisions regarding the environment. The company's emphasis on personal relationships and on integrity is evidenced by long-tenured personnel serving clients who return time and again.
