Air & Noise

Air & Noise 01
Air and noise quality issues and their effects on public health and the environment are receiving a growing amount of attention. Energy conservation efforts in building construction can cause an increase in indoor air quality problems and adverse health effects on residents and workers resulting from the more tightly sealed indoor airspaces. Also, outdoor air quality and air pollution issues are at the forefront of federal and international regulatory policy involving the carbon cap and emissions trade intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Noise pollution problems continue to grow and hinder healthy working and living conditions. Water & Air uses an interdisciplinary team approach to assess air and sound quality, evaluate emission sources, model plume dispersion, and determine the nature of human and environmental impacts.

Specific services include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop Action Plans to Address Air & Noise Pollution
  • Evaluate Air & Noise Pollution Sources
  • Provide Expert Testimony
  • Conduct Human Health Assessments
  • Assess Indoor Air Quality
  • Model Plume Dispersion
  • Monitor Bacteria, Viruses, Mold, Mildew, Dander, Pollen, & Dust Mites
  • Monitor Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Formaldehyde, & Relative Humidity
